Chris Baptista

I am alumni of Bridge to Artists (BTA) Dance Company, where I have performed both as a student, and as a professional dancer. When, as a young dancer, I first saw the performance of “On The Sawdust Trail”, a fantastic story, told in the most incredible way, my eyes were open wide and I sat watching on the edge of my seat. I still have vivid images of that show and as soon as I saw it, I knew I had to be a part of BTA! Thanks to Vlad, I was able to attend the Ailey School in New York City, where I have now graduated. I have performed with the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre, Zest Collective, Peridance Contemporary Dance Company, and XY Dance Project.. It’s because of my time at BTA that I have been called a valuable, professional, and extremely mature dancer. BTA was one of the most powerful shows I have ever had the chance to watch or be a part of. It is entertaining, evocative, and always extremely well done. I would recommend BTA to any dancer, to any audience member, and to any professional dancer, because BTA has captured my heart.

Christopher Baptista is a professional dance artist living in New York City. He has performed works by Alvin Ailey, Igal Perry, Nijawwon Matthews, Linda Garneu,Teddy Forance, and more. He was part of Bridge to Artists for multiple shows including Checkmate, The Village, and Carmen, and is always proud to say that BTA changed his life for the better. Thank you to his family, to Vlad, and to the people who have always believed in him.
